@ Jared, William, Jake and Todd -just download itunes without giving your credit card number- and search for arming the donkeys in itunes store..it’s all free there..
there are alot of religious people who serve in the army. only oltraorthodox people dont. i’m religious man and i serve 3 precious years from my life in this place – so please dont say such things.
“I was very disturbed to hear you correcting [Talma] and saying that not everyone serves because ‘the religious’ don’t serve. How could you say that? The truth is that there is a growing segment of secular people who don’t serve either”
[The majority -- but not all -- of the ultra-Orthodox population does not serve, but the modern Orthodox population is very committed to the army, especially in combat units.]
What is with these dweebs and dipshits complaining that “they don’t use iTunes” – or “they loathe iTunethe podcast exists and that iTunes and free podcasts distributed through iTunes exist. This kind of complaining is astounding.. what planet do you people live on? Apple and iTunes have basically created the whole podcast industry. Get your collective lard-filled heads out of the sand.
Resubmitting and due to typographical errors: What is with these dweebs and dipshits complaining that “they don’t use iTunes” – or “they loathe iTunes.” Give me a break! What planet do you live on?
This kind of complaining to me is astounding. It shows an astounding degree of ignorance about podcasting in general. Apple and iTunes basically created the whole podcast industry. Podcasting would not exist if it weren’t for the distribution kickstarted by Apple and iTunes. I’m not a blind defender of Apple – Steve Jobs is a control freak and sort of power mad. But give Apple credit, and get your collective lard-filled heads out of the sand. The people making these ignorant anti-iTunes comments probably don’t own a computer and are making these comments from the public library – they are obviously luddites.
I have been listening to “podcasts” for 10 years now. I have never had itunes installed on my computer for a total of maybe 3 days, before I realized I didn’t like it.
As for browsing iTunes Podcasts: http://app-store.appspot.com/ will get you there if you click “Podcasts” on the left side of the screen. The site isn’t fully functional as you cannot currently view Podcasts by genre, but it’s better than nothing.
I hope these links work for the non-iTunes people out there!
Hey there! I just wanted to ask if you ever have any issues with hackers? My last blog (wordpress) was hacked and I ended up losing several weeks of hard work due to no backup. Do you have any methods to protect against hackers?|
Very nice post. I just stumbled upon your weblog and wanted to mention that I have truly enjoyed surfing around your weblog posts. After all I will be subscribing in your feed and I am hoping you write once more very soon!|

I loathe itunes and was wondering if this was hosted anywhere else?
I feel the same as Jared!
It does appear to be free, although I’m not sure if there’s any way around using iTunes.

I’m going to go ahead and assume Derek is 12 years old.
I’m going to agree with William.

Calm down boy….
I dislike iTunes because it’s generally been slow on my computer. I use it only to get URLs of Podcasts from the Marketplace and iTunes U addresses.
The RSS itself is at http://deimos3.apple.com/WebObjects/Core.woa/Feed/new.duke.edu.1585292258.01585292263
Here is a link for browsing iTunes U without downloading iTunes: http://www.fritscher.ch/blog/2009/05/13/browsing-itunesu-without-intalling-itunes/ The rendered pages don’t always look nice, but they managed to have most of the functionality.
