PREDICTABLY IRRATIONAL SHORT STORY SERIES NO. 3
It’s time for another Predictably Irrational Short Story! This one is a love story the beautifully demonstrates some of the principles of discussed in Predictably Irrational about decision making applied to dating, again written by one of my students at Duke. It’s called “The Dating Game” and you can find it here.

The Upside of Irrationality, explores some positive and some negative ways that irrationality plays out in our lives.

im afraid the layout put me off. having to jump up and down the columns was too much effort
Talking about Durham NC. . . . .

Enjoyed it – I wanted to recommend proof reading it for grammar & spelling mistakes (there are quite a few through out the pages).
Otherwise, great work!! I think everyone can relate to this short sample story and it keeps the reader interested.
Thank You!
This was a very exciting book that i think many people, no matter big or too small can relate to in terms of life experiences that they went through. Also there were small stories of the experiment used for data that was interesting and keeps a reader guessing to learn more.
This was not the worst thing I’ve ever read, but it’s certainly leaning toward banality. It’s not as if we ever doubt that Fiona will choose Ian over Rob. Well, perhaps in a really bad made-for-TV movie a plot might be contrived, but in any sort of “rational” world would a guy ever be so stupid to think “hey, maybe”. The only irrational priciple I see at work here is why anyone thinks the unemployed bum will be choosen over the charasmatic intern. We here in the rational world grasp probable over possible.
