Standard vs behavioral economics (Supermen of the Mind)
A few weeks ago at TED I met John Hodgman, and he agreed to watch my version of his mac vs pc videos (he is the guy playing the PC on the apple ads). He approved.
This is the last one in the set

My latest book, The Upside of Irrationality, explores some positive and some negative ways that irrationality plays out in our lives.

I DO approve this message.
I hope you are well, Dan.
That is all.
I loved it and I found it thought provoking.
I liked your TED talks (and the idea of behav. econ.), but IMO the ad/skit would be improved by making it a bit more back-and-forth, like the real ones. As is it’s a bit too much of a direct pitch.
Professor Ariely, I think you are so right. I have great respect for your work. I just listened to your interview for the economist , the cost of free. I amazes me to see how much brillant ideas can result from such a painful experience. Wish your family and you a nice summer, lots of cooking!
Kind regards,
